New to the Extras Collection
Some new (and free) page templates are now available in the Aarcade Extras collection, including:

- FAQ Page
Hopefully these will be useful for anyone looking to replicate the custom pages displayed in our Aarcade theme previews.

Pinterest & Artist-based Content
January was spent getting back in the swing of things and sorting out some miscellaneous projects for Aarfie customers.
Now that February is here (already!?) we’re stepping back on the road towards many exciting additions to our Aarcade products and services. To get things started, we have rolled out a small theme upgrade today to enable the following new features.
Product page sharing options have been expanded to include the popular Pinterest “Pin It” button. After you have upgraded your theme, refer to the Product Sharing Custom Option notes to enable your Pin It button.
+ Artist Insert Content
Like the existing category-based “insert content” functionality, you can now insert content (e.g. artist descriptions, slide shows, etc.) into your products and product pages based upon your Artist Categories. After you have upgraded your theme, refer to the Insert Content support article to make use of this new feature.

Introducing Auto Categories
Auto-categories are one of Aarcade’s many new Big Cartel theme features and they are a super easy way of grouping specific products to display to your customer, e.g. products marked on sale, products priced over a certain value, etc.
Let’s say we want to display a product category called “Gift Ideas” that will automatically display all of our products priced under $40.00. We simply create a category with the correct auto-category prefix as follows:
ac-under-40 Gift Ideas
That’s it. Your Aarcade theme takes care of the rest for you!

p.s. The ac-under-X and ac-over-X have only just been added. So you’ll need to download and install the latest version of your Aarcade theme to use these.
Aarcade is live
We’re very pleased to announce that Aarcade, our new home for premium Big Cartel themes and services, is finally live.
Our themes have been given a major overhaul as part of the launch, and a number of unmatched features have been added/tweaked, including:
- advanced slide show - display anywhere
- product sub-categories
- auto-categories for on-sale, sold-out, etc.
- multiple home page content options
- multiple product image size options
- editable navigation menus

Premium is the new standard
Aarcade standard themes include the full theme feature list. We have therefore dropped the “Premium” version identifier from our themes.
We have also added three “Lite” theme versions. Lite themes have the default Big Cartel feature list (i.e. none of our advanced custom options or features).
